Profound®
The Profound® is a one-of-a-kind microneedling radiofrequency treatment that non-invasively lifts and tightens skin on the face, neck and body. This innovative technology generates new collagen and elastin and provides long-lasting results without the need for surgery. The treatment can safely be performed on all skin types. Treatment of the face and neck results in a more defined jawline, lifting of jowls and tightening of sagging skin. Body treatments can be performed to tighten and lift skin on the abdomen, arms, or thighs.
What to expect?
Before the treatment, your skin will be numbed with a topical anesthetic cream followed by injection of local anesthetic to the treated area. The treatment itself is not painful and takes about 1 hour. After the treatment, you will have mild swelling and mild bruising in the treated areas for 5-7 days. Expectations for downtime will be discussed with you in detail prior to your treatment. After the treatment, you can return to your routine activities and can apply make-up.
You will see some immediate tightening and lifting with final results visualized 3-6 months after treatment. The results are usually long-lasting and can be maintained with a repeat treatment typically performed after 2-3 years.
The cost of the treatment depends upon the area being treated. Cost can only be determined after evaluation during an in-person consultation with Dr. DiGiorgio.
Dr. DiGiorgio is a board-certified dermatologist and Harvard Fellowship-trained laser and cosmetic dermatologist. She is a well-known laser expert with years of experience in treating patients with the Profound®.
All treatments are performed exclusively by Dr. DiGiorgio. You will never be seen or treated by a mid-level provider. Profound® treatment is an elective cosmetic procedure and, therefore, the treatment is not covered by health insurance or FSA.
